Successful UCI World Cup kick-off in Astana

Track cycling: The tripartite team of team Erdgas2012 with Robert Förstemann, Maximilian levy and Joachim Eilers (GER) win the World Cup in team sprint in Astana, Kazakhstan. The with CASCO helmets equipped team set a historic milestone herewith. Such a victory was never succeeded before by an independently organized, German professional team. As at the same time they even break the German record. Athletic director Michael Hübner euphorically says after the race: "I'm delirious!" Finally this is the reward for hard work for the entire team. " Togetherwith our partners and sponsors at home we are on the right track."
Our team sprint champion
The silver medal was won by the team Jayco-AIS from Australia, in the new lineup of Matthew GLAETZER, Shane PERKINS, and Scott SUNDERLAND. Also on the 3rd podium place came a CASCO team: the French Team with the riders Mickael BOURGAIN, Michael d ' ALMEIDA and Kevin SIREAU.

Further we congratulate the CASCO athletes Denis DMITRIEV (RUS) and Shane PERKINS (AUS) to their places 2 and 3 in the elite men's sprint . Christos VOLIKAKIS (GRE) took the Golden medal before Sir Chris Hoy in the Keirin, also Sergey Borisov (RUS) came third on the podium - super performance!
The CASCO ladies not less successful: in the elite Keirin, we congratulate Clara Sanchez and Kristina Vogel to an excellent 1st and 2nd place. The German ladies Kristina VOGEL & Miriam WELTE get the bronze medal in Team Sprint. In the 500 m time trial, Sandie Clair wins 2nd place (FR) and Miriam Welte (GER) 3rd place!
